Get the emergency call
Blocked drains, burst pipes and no hot water are searched in a hurry. The page loads in under a second on mobile data, says you do it, and puts your number under their thumb.
A burst pipe gets searched on a phone by someone standing in water. The plumber who gets the call is the one whose number is on the screen first.
I build plumbing websites for that moment, and for the hot water and renovation jobs you would rather be doing.
Blocked drains, burst pipes and no hot water are searched in a hurry. The page loads in under a second on mobile data, says you do it, and puts your number under their thumb.
A new hot water system or a bathroom renovation is a different search by a different person, with time to compare. Those jobs get their own pages, with your photos of finished work.
Plumbing and gas work is licensed work and customers check. Your licence number and insurer are shown plainly. I only publish what you have given me.
Your suburbs are named, so nobody rings from two hours away and nobody nearby assumes you are too far. On Premium, the suburbs you want work in get a page each.
You pick the jobs. These are the usual ones, and each gets its own page written for the customer searching for it.
Basic covers the four pages every plumber needs. Premium is where the site starts doing work of its own. These are the things I would build into it fora plumber.
A band across the top of the whole site with your number and the hours you answer it. Whatever page the search lands on, the call is one tap away before they have read a word.
Gas, electric or heat pump, and which sizes you fit. Set out side by side with a from price if you want one shown, so the customer rings knowing what they are asking for.
Each renovation gets its own before and after pair with a line on what was moved, replaced or re-tiled. It is the page that wins the job worth a week of your time.
A dripping tap or a tap swap does not need a phone call. The customer picks a day and a time window, and the request lands on your phone as a text for you to confirm.
Fixed price in writing within 24 hours. Basic is live within a week of getting your photos, Premium within two. Every price is on the pricing page.
Basic
$990 build, once. $99 a month.
Four pages: home, services, about, contact. Nothing up front if you spread it over twelve months.
Premium
$2,490 build, once. $179 a month.
A page for each job you want more of and each suburb you want work in, with before and after galleries.
Your Google listing is how people find you. The website is what they check before they ring, and it is where the bigger jobs get decided. A listing with no site behind it loses those to the plumber who has one.
Yes, because the emergency search and the hot water search are different people. One page cannot speak to both. The emergency page gets them to ring now, and the service pages bring in the work you can plan your week around.
A builder costs less each month and you set it up yourself. The catch for a plumber is speed: a builder site heavy with photos can crawl on mobile data, and the emergency call goes to whoever loads first. Mine load in under a second, and I do the writing.
I also build websites for electricians, concreters, painters and landscapers.
Before you decide: How much does a tradie website cost? · Do I need a website if I’m on hipages? · Website or Facebook page: what does a tradie need?
Sometimes that is a new site. Sometimes it is a Google listing and nothing else. Either way you get a fixed price within 24 hours. Want to see it first? Ask for a free homepage mockup.
